Quality and Traceability
Baker Seed Co.’s attention to detail and quality control sees us as the supplier and service provider of choice to a variety of industry sectors.
Whether it is through paddock inspections or seed plant hygiene, everything we do is to insure the end user has confidence and peace of mind when using our products or services.
Seed production goes beyond the traditional one inspection, with our in house team of inspectors monitoring and reviewing our seed crops on a regular basis, with at least two formal inspections taking place.
Our systems insure full traceability throughout the production chain, offering our customers a heightened level of detail and tracking. All loads are sampled and tested in and out of the Rutherglen facility, this gives us the opportunity to constantly review products and monitor quality throughout the production process.
Our processing facilities are specificity designed to insure efficient and accurate clean downs, leaving equipment free of contaminants and residue. This helps reduce the likelihood of products cross contamination between jobs.
Baker Seed Co.’s storage is designed with seed in mind, our individual silo capacity is aimed to segregated seed lots by paddock, load or line number where required. This segregation means that problem lines can be isolated and that seed lots can remain homogeneous through our processes.
Our coolroom style bag warehouses were built and designed by the Baker family to protect the integrity of stored seed against temperature fluctuations, vermin, grain storage pests, UV light and moisture.
Everything we do is with quality in mind, this attention to detail means that care is take in every process to ensure that products are presented well and to the highest standard for the end user.
