Julia Tennent grew up in Whittlesea, north of Melbourne, before completing a Bachelor of Agriculture at the University of Melbourne. During her studies, she gained hands-on experience in broadacre cropping systems at the Dookie Campus.

In her final year, Julia worked as a soil testing technician, travelling across Victoria and South Australia and working with a range of cropping and livestock enterprises.

For the past five years, she has been based in the Corowa/Rutherglen region as a Research Agronomist, managing a variety of broadacre and horticulture trials, including the Baker Seed Co trial program. She is excited to continue developing her career with Baker Seed Co as part of a family-owned Australian seed business.
